About The Airsoft Guns We Carry

Whether you are new to airsoft or a seasoned veteran, Fox Airsoft is sure to have the right airsoft guns to suit your needs. With so many brands in the marketplace today it can be confusing shopping for a new airsoft gun. The first thing you have to determine, is what type of gun you want to purchase.

There are three main types including spring powered, gas powered, and automatic electric guns (AEG). Spring powered guns are powered by an internal spring and your strength. Some sniper rifles for example are spring loaded and require you to cock back the handle for each shot you take. Secondly, there are gas guns. Gas airsoft guns commonly run on CO2, Green Gas, or Propane. Gas airsoft guns might be GBB (Gas blowback) which provides a more realistic operation.

In most cases you fill the magazine with the green gas or propane as well as BB's. Many gas airsoft guns are blowback which mean they simulate a real gun firing by having the slide move just like a real gun. Third, is the most popular type of airsoft gun, which is an automatic electric gun, otherwise known as an AEG. These AEGs are electrically powered by a battery inside the gun and operate a piston inside the gearbox. Most professional airsoft players prefer AEGs for their relatively low cost to operate, durability, and reliability.

After you have chosen which types of guns you would like to purchase, the rest is usually based on preference. If you are looking for a rifle with a long barrel for greater accuracy and range you may want to lean in the sniper direction or an AEG with a longer barrel such as a Designated Marksman Rifle.  The designated marksman or DMR role is a great option to change your play style and take those longer range shots. Airsoft handguns will typically have the least amount of accuracy and range.

A standard rifleman typically uses a carbine length or shorter barrel airsoft rifle.  This gives them more maneuverability and the ability to get around the field easier.  This is the role that most players start with as it is the most versatile.

Want to try something more challenging?  You can consider the sniper role to go for those really long shots.  The sniper role is the most challenging because the range advantage in airsoft is not a huge advantage.  You'll need to conceal yourself and move into a position where you can take an accurate first shot without your opponent knowing where the shot is coming from.

Information & Q & A:

Q: I saw an airsoft gun cheaper on Amazon, why are your guns more expensive?

A: At Fox we are committed to only carrying quality airsoft guns.  We want you to have a great experience and buy with confidence.  Many of the "cheaper" guns you see on Amazon are what we refer to as "throw away guns".  When the gun breaks, there are no parts available to maintain the gun and extend the life cycle.  When you buy a quality airsoft gun, there are parts available, accessories and you can enjoy it for many years.

Q: Do you offer any coupons?
A: We try to maintain the best prices so you won't need a coupon. We do occasionally run sales.

Q: Do airsoft guns shoot pellets?
A: Airsoft guns shoot 6mm plastic BB's and they are typically replica firearms so they look and act like the real thing.
